LINE NO. 4 / FEMMES (2026)

The Autonomous Navigation of Contemporary Space

Space is not empty. It is feminine.

The Glitch Minister Agency formally stabilizes the primary input/output protocol initiated at the historic Mont de Piété in Brussels and deployed for the Triennale de Waterloo 2026. This portal serves as a direct, unmediated coordinate for the international platform of contemporary art lovers, museums, sovereign wealth funds, and private collections from Hong Kong to Los Angeles and New York trying to cross the feminine horizon.

I. THE MASTERWORK CODE

  • • The Artifact: Line No. 4 / FEMMES (2026)
  • • The Medium: 120 Standardized Mono-Femme units, repeating mechanical ready-made substrates, high-density pigment, pristine white structural frame, 6 perpendicular hanging pendulums.
  • • The Phenomenon: Une ligne organise la vision.
  • • Legal Inscription: Co-protected under the foundational frameworks of the United States Copyright Office (Library of Congress, Washington, D.C.).

II. THE CHRONOLOGY OF THE SACRED TRAP

The entire universe of the Glitch Minister operates on a continuous timeline, tracing back to a singular, unrepeatable historical performance:

• The Black & White Genesis (La Cambre / ULB, Brussels)

Under the curriculum theme « Artists and Models » directed by art historian Prof. France Borel, the origin point was established. Constructed with a strict Bauhaus mindset, the handheld work presented a clean white design with a stark black female visual triangle inside a Plexiglas enclosure.

• The Paintbrush Demonstration

Using a long paintbrush to trace the lines of interaction, the artist demonstrated a structural truth that shattered the patriarchal lineage running from Picasso to Duchamp. While classical masters flattened their muses, this prototype introduced a kinetic reality: the sculpture is live, spring-loaded, and automatically activated by the gaze of the viewer. It returns the eyes, forcing an immediate collapse of the sterile observer-object dynamic.

• The Canonical Decree

Witnessing this epochal shift at La Cambre, art historian and philosopher Prof. France Borel placed her hand on the artist’s shoulder, pushed the vocal birth of the « Egg of Venus » into the open air, and decreed: « With this one artwork, you are part of Art History. »

III. THE KINETIC TRICK & THE REVERSAL OF THE CANON

By engaging directly with the 6 perpendicular pendulums suspended beneath the pristine white chassis, institutional observers are invited to execute a precise 180-degree cognitive pivot. This formal interaction recontextualizes legacy patriarchal geometries, revealing the fluid, self-generating architecture of Feminine Cosmology.

At the lower boundary of the white architectural chassis hang 6 perpendicular pendulums. They execute a profound biological and philosophical calculation: by turning the classical female Mono-Femme matrix exactly 180 degrees, the male attributes appear fully suspended within the air frame.

The trick is clean, literal, and completely figurative. It strips away patriarchal pretense with a sharp, satirical smile that women recognize instantly, establishing that the masculine is a local, secondary extension operating inside an architecture that precedes it.

Far from a static commodity to be stored silently within commercial freeport warehouses, this masterwork functions as an active lighthouse of origin. Here, the horizon is not flattened into a commercial trend; it is established as an untouchable historical law—reminding the international curatorial community that « Ceci n'est pas un chocolat », and the structural foundations of the creation matrix remain permanently unassailable.

Art [ist] Meeting / 23 - 25 August 2024 at the Grand Casino Knokke

30 juillet 2024 par
Wolfgang Petsch

MEET THE ARTIST: WOLFGANG PETSCH (pseudonym: Glitch Minister) The artist, Wolfgang Petsch (born in 1960) lives and works in Waterloo, Belgium.

Wolfgang Petsch, a former graphic design student at "La Cambre" (which is now part  of ULB), created at that time a transformative ready-made art piece that pays  homage to Marcel Duchamp's most famous work.

This parallel approach showcases their artistic claim of having a clear vision and  distinct signature.

The humble mouse trap, a simple and functional device designed to catch rodents, is not something that one would typically associate with art or key insights and to a  modern innate feminine body and elicit the voice of "Venus."

This is exactly what happened with the mouse trap in the genius creative step out of  the air, as it underwent a metamorphosis and became a symbol of feminine abstract  icons and innate beauty in the source of art exemplifying the power of artistic  interpretation and re-contextualization.

It can be a highly subjective and personal experience, allowing for diverse  interpretations and connections with the artwork.

Artists can take everyday objects, subjects, concepts, or performances and give them new meaning through their creative expression.

In this case, the artist has taken the mouse trap and re-imagined it as a  representation of feminine rebirth in unexpected places and pushes the boundaries  even-evolving nature of creativity itself, highlighting and illuminating the transformative nature of art.

This demonstrates how art as a one-of-a-kind piece can challenge our perceptions  and invite us to see women in new and unexpected ways.

Petsch firmly believes that if the foundation of an idea is truly exceptional, the  resulting artwork will resonate with and be acknowledged by international art  lovers, consumers, and art critics alike.

This confidence in the power of innovative concepts to capture global attention  highlights his commitment to producing art that transcends boundaries and leaves a  lasting impact on its viewers.

Through a playful and unconsciously undermining holistic approach, Petsch  challenges deterministic thinking, making his work stand out as a unique and  thought-provoking artistic creation.

In an immersive environment the viewer can experience a panorama of Duchamp’s  intentions, one that does not enforce strict rules of consistency, but leads us to  comprehension of a poly-dynamic yet visceral logic.

The essential role of disruptive art in shaping cultural and societal dialogues is  amplified by the transformative power demonstrated in the interchangeable nature  of ordinary objects like a fountain and a mousetrap turned extraordinary through  artistic vision.

This perspective underscores the idea that all creations have the potential to  become equal artworks, showcasing the diversity and limitless possibilities inherent  in modern artistic expression as driven by the cosmic force of evolution.

"Let the symbol of Venus remind us that at our core, we are all connected as primary cells, embodying the essence of the female voice and design."

As Glitch Minister, I am a multifaceted artist, writer, and curator who seeks to  challenge societal norms through my work.

As Glitch Minister the artist, I use my pseudonym to create provocative and thought provoking pieces that disrupt the status quo.

In my capacity as Glitch Minister the author, I write about topics that often go  unspoken, such as the stigma surrounding menstruation and women's bodies.

Through my work as Glitch Minister the curator, I bring together artists and  exhibitions that push the boundaries of what is considered acceptable.

And as Glitch Minister the gallery owner, I provide a platform to pop-up for these  innovative and often controversial works to be showcased and celebrated, popping  up in unexpected locations to spark meaningful conversations and challenges.

If you're among the fortunate few who own or have owned a one-of-a-kind  Wolfgang Petsch creation, I'd be thrilled to hear from you.

Please reach out to our curator at Glitch Minister, and we'll be delighted to connect  with you and share in your story.

Thank you for your attention.

Sincerely,

Wolfgang Petsch
